HD Liposuction
HD Liposuction
High-Definition Liposuction, is an advanced body sculpting technique that removes fat to accentuate the underlying muscles and contours for a more defined, athletic appearance.
Hospital stay
The patient is able to return home on the same day of the surgery, as it is an outpatient procedure.
Surgical technique
Liposuction requires a cannula to remove the fat. New power-assisted liposuction devices, like Vaser or J-Plasma, coupled with a high level of skill and anatomical knowledge, help achieve the desired aesthetic results
Post-operative care
The scars are minimal, less than a centimeter. Showering is possible the next day without dressings.
Time
The surgery last less than 2 hour under general anesthesia
Sports / Daily life
The patient should avoid lifting weights, including children, for one month. Normal sedentary activities can be resumed on the day of the surgery.
What is a liposuction?
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat from specific areas of the body to reshape and contour them. It involves using a thin tube, called a cannula, which is inserted through small incisions to suction out fat. This technique is popular for targeting fat that's resistant to diet and exercise, and it's commonly used on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms, and neck. The goal is to enhance body contours and proportions.
Will the fat removed by liposuction come back?
Fat removed by liposuction does not come back in the treated areas, as the procedure permanently removes fat cells from those specific parts of the body. However, it's important to maintain a stable weight post-surgery. If you gain weight after liposuction, the remaining fat cells in your body can expand, and fat can accumulate in other areas, potentially altering the results. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and regular exercise is crucial to preserve the outcomes of the procedure.
What is the new HD liposuction?
HD liposuction, also known as High-Definition Liposuction, is an advanced body sculpting technique that goes beyond traditional liposuction. This technique uses specialized equipment to sculpt around muscle groups, enhancing the visibility of the body's natural contours and musculature. HD liposuction requires a detailed understanding of human anatomy and a high level of skill from the surgeon to achieve the desired aesthetic results, offering a more toned and sculpted body profile. The surgeon will used power assisted liposuction such as Vaser or J-Plasma to obtain the defined body result.
What is VASER liposuction?
Vaser liposuction, also known as Vaser lipo, is a specialized form of liposuction that uses ultrasound technology to break up and emulsify fat, making it easier to remove. "Vaser" stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance. In this procedure, ultrasound waves are delivered through small probes that liquefy fat cells while preserving other tissues like nerves and blood vessels. This technique allows for more precise fat removal and is especially useful for sculpting and defining underlying muscles, making it a popular choice for high-definition body contouring. Vaser lipo is less invasive than traditional liposuction, often resulting in less pain and quicker recovery times.
What is J-plasma?
J-Plasma liposuction, also known as J-Plasty or Renuvion, is a cosmetic surgery technique that enhances traditional liposuction by combining it with cold plasma energy for skin tightening. The procedure starts with the removal of excess fat through liposuction, followed by the application of cold plasma, created by passing helium gas through a radiofrequency energy field, beneath the skin. This plasma energy causes immediate contraction of the skin's collagen fibers, leading to significant skin tightening. J-Plasma liposuction is particularly effective for patients with moderate skin laxity, offering transformative results by addressing both fat removal and skin laxity. The precision of cold plasma technology also minimizes the risk of thermal injuries, making it a safer and more controlled approach to body contouring.
Should I do babies before liposuction?
A frequent question we encounter from women considering liposuction is whether they should have children before undergoing the procedure. This is an important consideration, as pregnancy and breastfeeding can affect the size and shape of the body fat repartition, potentially altering the results of the surgery. If you plan to have children in the near future, you may wish to postpone the surgery until after completing your family. However, if pregnancy is not planned for several years, you might choose to proceed with the surgery.
When can I resume sport activities?
It's important for patients to understand that the recovery period can vary, and returning to physical activity should be a gradual process. Typically, light activities, such as walking, can be resumed within a few days post-surgery, aiding circulation and recovery. However, it's crucial to avoid strenuous activities, especially those that involve the chest muscles like weight lifting for at least four to six weeks. This allows the body to properly settle and the incision sites to heal. High-impact activities, such as running or jumping, should be reintroduced slowly and only after one month after the surgery.
What are the risks of a liposuction?
Liposuction carries risks such as bruising, swelling, infection, and irregular contours or asymmetry where fat is removed. There's also a possibility of fluid accumulation and temporary or rare permanent numbness in treated areas. More serious but less common risks include blood clots or fat embolism, reactions to anesthesia, and persistent pain. Proper consultation with a surgeon and following post-operative instructions are key to minimizing these complications.
